Lessons From Many Industries
Industries change due to external forces. Organizations facing challenges can look to the solution patterns in other industries. And at Capsule it is our contention that an external partner should be able to apply learnings from across industries to solve the challenge a client faces. Our diversity in industries is our strength, designed to the benefit of our clients. So we specialize in solving a specific set of challenges that all brands face rather than going deep on one industry.
Fueling our creative energy
Broad expertise and decades of experience has kept us perpetually learning and consistently inspired. We've found these are the fuel for enterprise change, and without them creativity lacks purpose. We've gone so far as to codify it all into our values, our stable platform from which we take great leaps. These values in turn inspired us to do things we didn’t expect and to find greater creativity within ourselves. Each time we face a challenge, our team proves itself fully capable of stepping forward into it. Education is one of our six values yet if you had asked us if we’d write a book, let alone three best sellers, we’d have found your joke very amusing
Defining Moments in Our Journey
Examples of uncommon creativity bringing exceptional value are scattered throughout our history. We started primarily in brand and identity, yet early on we walked into a packaging design opportunity with Schroeder Milk and our team delivered a trifecta of happy clients, positive return on investment and nearly all the industry awards. At nearly the same time we helped rebrand a beloved Minnesota retailer, Byerly’s, with an equally monumental measure of success.
These moments are markers in time when we found ourselves with two types of projects solving different challenges. One was the modernization of a coveted brand, the other was a brand and packaging effort to drive sales through new channels and customers. Both of these, and many more since, have proven our point; an intentional set of diverse, creative perspectives can design great brand moments.
Solving Challenges Across Industries
Since then, we’ve built a portfolio of experiences solving fascinating and complex challenges for clients. The diversity of industries keeps things interesting, but the commonality of the challenges makes it possible.
We’ve taken on structural packaging design for a client producing most of the products crime scene professionals use in their labs. We’ve created a puffy coat kiosk where you can design and order your own puffy. We’ve designed licensing guidelines for Honeywell International to properly leverage a brand asset without destroying value. We’ve studied the culture of a national veterinary group to help them create a rewarding employment environment that embodies a growth mindset.
And we’ve helped numerous clients navigate a challenging rebrand, from an entirely new name all the way to a messaging and visual language change. This is just the smallest taste of where the journey has taken us. All of our projects are special and require a curious and capable team to take the leap across industries and into interesting challenges.
The six challenges we address build off our existing talents and where we’ve shown the greatest results for clients over the past twenty-five years.
