Intern Spotlight: Alex Clarity
Capsule is excited to introduce our newest team member, Design Intern, Alex Clarity! We learned more about him through a fun “mad lib” exercise. Check it out!
What brings you to Capsule?
As I near the end of my degree in graphic design at the University of Minnesota, I have begun searching for a place to step foot into the design world. My primary focus of interest is in brand and package design, when I found Capsule's impressive portfolio I knew that it was where I wanted to be.
What drew you to work in the design world?
Growing up, I have always been drawn to design. Whether it's something as simple as a logo with deeper meaning or cool graffiti, I have always loved the idea of purposeful art. Above all, I have always been a very creative person exploring all forms of art, some more physical like pottery but many more two dimensional forms of art. Design makes my interest a profession and lets me impact the world around me.
About Alex:
The name is Alexander The Great, but you can call me Alex for short. I work at Capsule as a Graphic Design Intern, aka it’s my job to draw, color, and stuff. I’m from Minneapolis, also known as ”the cities” and my background is in graphic design.
When I’m not at work you can find me shoe shopping. My go to karaoke song is Party in the USA. My favorite brand is Apple. Something weird (but really cool) about me is I obsess over hobbies until I am good at them, then I drop them. One thing I’m particularly passionate about is my car. If I could put one item into a time capsule to tell the future about what my life is like in 2025, it would be my car keys.
What experiences do you bring to Capsule?
I have experience in branding, packaging, web design, UX design, and illustration through the design program at the University of Minnesota. I have worked on various individual projects allowing me to expand my skillset and gain hands-on experience with visual storytelling and creating effective, aesthetically compelling designs. I have also had the ability to work in teams collaborating and critiquing to deliver cohesive, powerful and meaningful designs.
