Collaboration is more than a practice at Capsule; it’s a shared value that shapes how we think, create, and move through complex challenges. At its core, collaboration is a human act, people bringing different experiences, perspectives, and ambitions together to build something none of us could make alone.

We see this with our team, with partners who broaden our thinking, and with clients who bring curiosity and expertise into the work. From marketing leaders to product teams to designers, we create intentional moments for dialogue and co-creation — feedback loops, co-design sessions, alignment conversations — that lead to stronger, more meaningful outcomes.

Brands themselves are shaped by human ambitions. They sit at the intersection of what a product or service offers and what people need. When the people behind a brand collaborate well, ideas sharpen, alignment strengthens, and outcomes endure.

This belief extends beyond project work. It’s why we invest in conversations like Think & Link, where shared perspectives strengthen the creative community around us.

Our final Designing Value poster reflects this value. Built through a layered, iterative process with input from the full Capsule team, it’s a reminder that collaboration isn’t just how we work, it’s how we create value.

Collaboration has little meaning if it isn’t embodied in process and result. Working together means actually working together to create something that an individual couldn’t or wouldn’t have done on their own. But this doesn’t always come naturally. Collaboration requires us to make space for it and intentionally welcome others into our work.

So that’s what we did. Taking inspiration from midwestern barn quilts, the Capsule designers created a structure the entire team could play within. From collaboratively selecting colors and textures to curating placement of various components, the entire image was built from curious minds working together. 

The lesson is that collaboration doesn’t have to be slow. It can be nimble and fun, resulting in creative output with unintended nuance and fascinating, unpredictable moments.

All poster proceeds will benefit NEMAA, the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association, a non-profit organization in our backyard supporting local artists with resources, promotion and fellowship, and best known for its annual production of Art-A-Whirl.
