We have a real breakfast treat for our Think & Link; Pants Optional audience this week. We have the co-founder of Oatly oat milk, Björn Öste and TD Dixon the Chief Growth Officer at Post Consumer Brands and formerly of Jack Link’s where he turned a dried protein brand into a cultural icon. If you’re a milk and cereal aficionado like our Aaron Keller, you likely know of Post’s first cereal, Grape Nuts, but perhaps you haven’t heard of the original Post product, Postum, a drink replacement for coffee made from wheat bran, wheat and molasses. We will likely not be talking much about that, but more about how aged brands can become relevant again and new brands can hit a cultural stride and face exponential growth. And, if you’re unaware of the oat milk revolution, you might want to call up Oprah, Natalie Portman or Howard Schultz to ask what they’ve invested in recently.
