James Damian
James Damian, former senior vice president and chief design officer of Best Buy's customer experience design group, took the Think & Link stage in June 2017.
About the speaker
Prior to serving as the senior vice president and chief design officer at Best Buy, James held various executive posts throughout the retail industry - including Harvey Nichols, B.Altman, and R.H. Macy. He is a former board member for the Minnesota Orchestra and currently serves on the board for Century Park Capital Partners, a LA-based private equity firm.
While at Best Buy, James was responsible for reinventing the experience of shopping in mass specialty retail. He used the shopping experience to challenge the status quo and relentlessly pursue change. He also has expertise in concept development and guest experience, and how these transfer to an international model that fits in other cultures. He will be sharing about his journey from the windows to the boardroom, along with the changing future of retail.
