Christine Mau and Guido Schmitz
Think & Link, Brand New World : March 18th, 9:00 am Pacific / 11:00 central
About the Speakers
Two special guests in the area of design will be gracing our virtual stage on this day. We have Christine Mau, formerly Kimberly Clark and now Medline, head of design. And, Guido Schmitz, former head of packaging and materials innovation at Bayer.
These two have been heros in the design community for a long, long time, and that doesn’t mean they’re old, they achieved greatness early. Guido has spent nearly 40 years improving the packaging safety and materials used on hundreds of products around the world, you likely use every month. Christine led an effort at Kimberly Clark to invent new ways to put tissue in a box, like watermelon shapes. Yeah, if you remember when tissue boxes started to see the importance of design, that movement was started by Christine Mau.
We’ll be talking sustainability, packaging, brand and of course design in its many facets with these two endlessly curious intellectuals.
About Think & Link
As we all face these amazing times, our team looks to do what we can do to help connect our friends and nourish their intellectual curiosity. We will start by discussing the topics of the week sparked by questions from our co-hosts Kelly Leighton and Aaron Keller. And, then we’ll take questions from the audience.
Think & Link, Brand New World, is our way of giving something to our community as we all seek new opportunities, friendships and professions. And, we’re a curious crew here at Capsule, so we’re always looking to learn from our significant network of thinkers and doers.
Our format is a 60 minute Q&A discussion hosted by Kelly Leighton and Aaron Keller, of Capsule with questions from our audience sprinkled into the conversation.
All we ask is you refer a friend, guest speaker or client someday in the future.
