Think & Link with Laura Smith
Laura Smith, Vice President of Marketing at Askov Finlayson, will take the Think & Link stage on Thursday, December 6 for a special holiday happy hour event. Laura will be leading an engaging conversation on climate change and thoughtful business practices.
About the topic, "Can business be part of the solution to climate change?"
Climate change isn’t waiting for companies to reduce their environmental impact incrementally. Askov Finlayson, a Minneapolis-based outdoor clothing company known as a leading champion of the North, believes it’s time to rethink our relationship with the planet and start doing more good than harm. The company’s innovative Give 110% business model makes every purchase a net climate positive through a commitment to carbon accountability. Askov Finlayson Vice President of Marketing Laura Smith will talk about the company’s Keep The North Cold climate change mission, the need to marry business success with climate action, and how turning everyday consumer behavior into meaningful climate action can turn climate change into a cultural movement – not a political wedge.
Laura Smith is the Vice President of Marketing at Askov Finlayson, who works to share a welcoming vision of the North. After spending seven years building J.W. Hulme, Laura believes collaboration between creative and strategy produces the most inspiring—and effective—solutions. She is the mother of three girls (ages 13 to 18) and one boy (age 2) for those of you who enjoy math word problems.
Join us Thursday, December 6th at 4:30pm for an insightful happy hour conversation among connections new and old.
This is an invitation-only event. If you are interested in attending or would like to invite a guest, please RSVP here. Please email Ellen Pickering with any questions.
