Introducing: Keona Prokop

Our newest Relationship Development Director and Capsule Crew member, Keona Prokop, opens up about life, love and the pursuit of brands. Well... at least, two of the three.

What brings you to Capsule?

Through business networking, I learned about Capsule. I have always admired the work that Capsule does. I was looking for a different direction in my career and when this opportunity arose I couldn’t say no!

Tell us about how you became interested in design!

In college, I started a vintage clothing and furniture refinishing business. The business evolved into a worldwide fashion brand and print magazine. I sold my business in 2018. Since then, I have been exploring my interests in floral design and interior design.

What experiences do you bring to Capsule?

I have 10 years of marketing and leadership experience. I have helped create eCommerce websites, generate revenue growth, and innovate retail companies. I have also been an entrepreneur with businesses in fashion and videography. I am looking forward to using my experience to help brands connect with Capsule.

What’s the most awkward movie you’ve ever seen with your parents?

My mom and my friend’s mom took my friend and me to see 8 Mile in theaters when we were 12 years old. They made us close our eyes for some parts of the movie.

On a scale of Jingle All the Way to Fargo, how Minnesotan is your accent?

When I lived in California my friends told me it was on the scale of “Fargo” but I would disagree. I’ve learned to say “soda” instead of “pop” from the constant confusion I received outside of the midwest. I still say “bag” with an exaggerated “a” and “ope” if I’m in someone’s way, and few other Minnesotan things.

We’re not going to judge or anything… but what’s your go-to Karaoke song?

I try not to subject anyone to my terrible singing voice. One time when I was studying sustainability abroad in Germany my friends and I sang “Wannabe” by Spice Girls.

How old do you think Tom Cruise actually is? Like really…

Well considering Scientology convinces people that they’re “immortal” does it really matter what his age is?
