Adam 02

Introducing: Adam Brady

Our newest Research Associate and Capsule Crew member, Adam Brady, opens up about life, love and the pursuit of brands. Or at least, two of the three.

What brings you to Capsule?

After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2018 with a degree in Strategic Communication, I decided to stay in Minneapolis and pursue a career in advertising. In my first two years I gained experience in media analytics and digital media strategy and execution. After learning a lot and meeting loads of hardworking/smart/talented coworkers, I found myself ready to move to my next chapter --- Capsule!

Tell us about how you became interested in branding and design!

I’ve been lucky to work on some really cool brands thus far in my career, each of them having very different branding styles and designs. I found, in many cases, what separated good brands from great ones was their ability to implement beautiful, consistent, and functional design strategies across all facets of the company. I want to help elevate brands from good to great.

What experiences do you bring to Capsule?

I have experience in media analytics, data visualization, digital campaign development, social listening, and qualitative and quantitate research methods. I’m like a tasting menu at your favorite restaurant.

Well... Now that we've gotten to get to know you a bit more professionally, it's time for the personal question lightening round!

What’s the most awkward movie you’ve ever seen with your parents?

The Shape of Water. Not because of any specific scene, that movie is just strange.

On a scale of Jingle All the Way to Fargo, how Minnesotan is your accent?

Wherever ‘being asked to say ‘bag’ aloud’ falls on that scale, that’s where I am.

We’re not going to judge or anything… but what’s your go to Karaoke song?

Any song that gets the whole bar singing along. Think Mr. Brightside or Californication.

Ramen or Sushi?

Wild that you would pit two heavyweights against each other like this. If I had to choose…Ramen wins by popularity, but not necessarily by skill-level. Does that analogy make sense?

What brand is your dream client?

Any client that gives me complete creative autonomy.

What’s your social security number?

Check my blog.

What’s your life motto?

Do better.

Any hidden talents you’re ready to expose?

I’ll show you for a fee. If you’re good at something, never do it for free.

Best SNL cast member of all time. Go.

Bill Hader has my heart and laughter.

How old do you think Tom Cruise actually is? Like really…

I hear Scientologists don’t believe in age. I made that up, but doesn’t it sound true?

What song will you never EVER skip?

No Air by Jordan Sparks

Scariest monster? Don’t say ghost. Mine is ghost.

Harold from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Google it.
