CAP 316 PROD Blog Curiosity A 1

For our first installment and limited edition poster release of the Designing Value Poster Series, we’re diving into Curiosity, what it means to design it and the value it leaves behind.

Curiosity at Capsule

Curiosity allows us to venture far and wide and dig deep to find peculiar, powerful nuggets of inspiration. It allows us to look outward and inward with wonder and without judgment. We bring out our binoculars and magnifying glasses, our trowels and sponges to see, examine and absorb with a new view. By designing curiosity into our work and lives, we make it a habitual practice, giving permission to slow down, explore and ask why.

Inside Capsule, curiosity is an intellectual hunger that starts from a place of humility and allows us to push boundaries and explore the unknown. The diversity of our industry experience keeps our curiosity appetite constant and allows us to find solutions in unexpected places. This means our clients have a team fueled by all three types of curiosity, knowledge seeking, sensory experience and deeply knowing other people. The outcome is greater unique, ownable knowledge for our clients and their teams to leverage as an advantage.

About the poster

For your consideration: Curiosity.

Killer of cats. Mother of invention. Captor of retinas.

The premier installation in our Designing Values series presents a choose your own adventure of the visual senses. Two ever unblinking eyes observe a canvas filled with textural dissections, geometric oddities and cryptic patterns to engage your field of view from every angle. Within and throughout the ordered chaos of optical sirens seeking to draw your attention, you’ll find the structured scribblings of the designer’s 2-year-old daughter. Reminding us all that curiosity isn’t some badge of honor held only by the experienced, but an innate trait within all of us. Our sincere hope is that any prolonged gaze at this poster inspires just as many questions as it does answers.

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
