CAP Job Posting Marketing Associate Blog A 1

Capsule is seeking a marketing manager to help guide and grow our internal marketing engine. We’re looking for someone who is equal parts organizer, communicator, and strategic thinker—someone who can manage the systems, stories, and experiences that bring Capsule to life in the world.

You might think of this role as the connective tissue between Capsule’s ideas and the audiences we want to reach. From managing digital channels and content to coordinating events and supporting business development, this role ensures our voice is consistent, our presence is active, and our marketing efforts build and deepen relationships.

In short, we’re looking for someone who can chart the constellations of our marketing efforts, and help ensure the Capsule brand keeps moving toward new horizons.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing Manager will lead and execute Capsule's internal marketing operations—overseeing our presence across digital channels, shaping our communications strategy, and ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the depth and character of our work.

This person will manage and implement our marketing calendar, lead content development, coordinate events, and support business development through thoughtful materials and outreach. Above all, they will bring a strategic sensibility to the day-to-day, ensuring that Capsule's marketing effort compounds over time into something meaningful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Operations and Channel Management

  • Own and manage Capsule's integrated marketing calendar across social media, email, web, and emerging channels—ensuring consistent cadence, coherent narrative, and strategic timing.

  • Lead performance tracking and reporting across platforms including HubSpot, Google Analytics (GA4), LinkedIn Analytics, and Google Search Console, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Manage and optimize marketing automation workflows in HubSpot, including list segmentation, email sequences, lead scoring, and pipeline reporting.

  • Coordinate internal marketing workflows across the team, maintaining shared systems, documentation, and accountability structures that keep initiatives moving.

Content & Communications

    • Write and edit marketing content—social posts, newsletters, long-form articles, case studies, and event materials.

    • Develop and steward Capsule's editorial calendar, ensuring that our content reflects our expertise, advances our positioning, and speaks meaningfully to our target audiences.

    • Collaborate with strategists and designers to translate complex work, original insights, and distinctive perspectives into content that engages audiences beyond our immediate network.

    • Lead the development of thought leadership content—articles, opinion pieces, trend analyses—that reinforces Capsule's reputation as a studio that thinks as rigorously as it creates.

    • Manage social media strategy across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms with a clear understanding of channel-specific best practices, audience behavior, and content performance metrics.

    Events & Community Engagement

      • Coordinate Capsule’s Think & Link speaker series and other events, including promotion, invitations, and logistics

      • Support Capsule networking initiatives, speaking opportunities, and community partnerships that strengthen Capsule’s presence in the Minnesota business community

      • Identify opportunities for Capsule to connect with relevant audiences and cultural conversations

      • Steward Capsule’s internal culture and community building; helping organize social events and build connection

      Business Development Support

        • Collaborate with partners and business development leads to create materials that are as persuasive as they are polished—capabilities decks, case studies, presentations, and proposals.

        • Assist with outreach campaigns, email sequences and prospect engagement in HubSpot

        • Help create and maintain sales support content such as presentations, capabilities materials and case studies

        • Think holistically about the marketing funnel—from awareness through conversation and partnership

        ABOUT YOU

You bring a strong combination of creative intelligence and operational discipline. You understand that good marketing is fundamentally about ideas, and that ideas only travel as far as the systems that carry them.

You are as comfortable reporting metrics as you are writing a piece of content, and you approach both with equal rigor.

        You are:

        • A strong writer and communicator, able to translate ideas into clear and engaging content

        • A thoughtful project manager who keeps initiatives organized and moving forward

        • A strategic thinker who understands how marketing functions as a business development tool, and who can hold both the long view and the immediate priority in mind simultaneously.

        • A confident user of marketing technology who can navigate HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and related platforms with fluency, not just familiarity.

        • Curious about brands, culture and emerging opportunities

        • Comfortable working across teams in a collaborative agency environment

        • Self-directed, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities

        Qualifications:

        • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles

        • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social sciences or related field (or equivalent experience)

        • Proficiency with social media strategy and management with a working understanding of algorithm behavior, content performance, and community-building best practices.

        • Experience managing marketing programs, content calendars or campaigns

        • Strong writing and editing skills

        • Experience coordinating projects across teams and timelines

        • Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred)

        Bonus Points:

        • Experience managing events or speaker series

        • Experience writing case studies, articles or thought leadership content

        • Familiarity with analytics and performance reporting

        • Experience working in agency, consulting, and/or B2B marketing environments

        • Basic graphic design fluency (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva) sufficient to produce polished marketing assets without always needing design support.

        EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND

        About Capsule

Capsule is a Special Projects Agency founded the year Prince became famous in Minneapolis, MN

Our refusal to limit our work to one specific industry, combined with the satisfaction we find from solving problems that others won’t touch with ten-foot poles, has earned us trusted relationships with brands large and small to explore and solve their meatiest design, brand and marketing challenges.

With over two and a half decades of working for clients across a variety of industries and needs, we specialize in helping brands create and evolve. We’ve crafted a new form of chocolate, named a fresh cultivar of an apple and built a cannabis seltzer from the ground up. We’ve lifted the shroud from the future of death care, dove into the happiest and healthiest places on earth and examined the intricacies of the hang tag. We’ve helped a legacy shoe brand further spread its wings, transitioned a once discount flooring retailer to a more premium footing and branded an entire region of the Midwest.

We have grown alongside brands like Patagonia, Hydro Flask, Red Wing Shoes, Herman Miller, Curaleaf and Osprey, becoming a strategic partner and multi-purpose tool to solve any special project that comes our way.
