Capsule’s design solutions centered around more clearly communicating AllGear’s mission of creating moving media with a focus on pursuing the interests of those who play hard.
A unique color scheme was developed to distinguish AllGear from the competitive set. Brand photography throughout the web experience was enhanced, leveraging hover states to showcase interest-specific imagery across AllGear’s varying media brands. A halftone pattern was applied to photography to increase stylistic cohesion and give nod to the nostalgic styling and feel of an old school media publication.
Custom headlines were created and applied throughout the new site, including the site’s masthead tagline, “Media that moves you”.
The rebranded site launch coincided with AllGear announcing a newly secured round of $40 million in financing. The fresh design has contributed to a renewed energy and excitement around the active-lifestyle media company as it continues to grow its portfolio and acquire brands that work hard for any kind of play.
