What brings you to Capsule?
I want to support work that expresses universal truths through beautiful storytelling, and Capsule's range of clients, united under the banner of having stories worth sharing, is what draws me. I consider myself a lifelong learner and a dreamer, and Capsule's appetite for solving complex problems and having fun doing it is exactly the next step I'm looking for.
Tell us about how you became interested in brand, design, and communication.
In college, I worked as a journalist for my student newspaper, where I fell in love with reporting stories that mattered to my community. In my first marketing role, I carried that focus on storytelling across new mediums and disciplines. Updating my organization's brand guide showed me firsthand how a clearer visual identity made the brand's story feel coherent and alive in a way words alone couldn't. I am inspired by the solutions people find for complex problems, and brand identity and design are powerful tools to connect us to those stories in ways words alone cannot.
What experiences do you bring to Capsule?
I bring editorial reporting from a local newspaper, integrated marketing at a global B2B manufacturer, and nonprofit communications, where I wore every hat, from launching a podcast to producing a monthly magazine.
What's a hot take you're willing to put your name on?
Dinner reservations should not be scheduled past 6:30 p.m. Some of us (me) have strict bedtimes!
We're not going to judge or anything… but what's your go-to karaoke song?
Man, I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain. I don’t care if two people have already sung it – I’ll be gracing the bar with a “totally crazy” hat trick.
Window seat or aisle?
Aisle forever.
What brand is your dream client?
Baggu or Jellycat. I love both brands for the joy and whimsy they bring to everyday objects. When I got married, I gave all my bridesmaids Jellycat Amuseables that reminded me of them.
What's your life motto?
You can’t control the outcome, but you can control your effort and your attitude.
Any hidden talents you're ready to expose?
I’ve played the violin since I was six!
What's a book you've recommended more than any other?
Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. While it has a slow start, it's a book I will read again and again for the rest of my life.
What's something you're currently learning?
I am currently learning about and implementing breathwork into my everyday routine. Taking care of your mind and body are some of the most important things you can do, and I love trying out different wellness practices.
What's a brand that deserves way more attention than it gets?
Sprints is a running lifestyle brand with awesome accessories and colorful patterns. I want all running outfits to be fun running outfits!
Scariest monster? Don't say ghost. Mine is ghost.
My brother’s favorite movies as a kid were the Lord of the Rings franchise, and he would chase me around using the “Gollum” voice. It still freaks me out to this day.
