We are starting off 2022 by taking a walk down the hard working aisle of retail. We have two amazing guests, Katherine Monasebian, who moved from Barneys New York to Stanley Black & Decker in 2020 to lead their transformative change. Yes, you read that right, from high-end retail to hardware, tools and the trades. Katherine is paired up with Steve Dennis, the author of the book Scott Galloway insists everyone should read, Remarkable Retail. Steve is also the origin of our new favorite phrase, Harmonized Retail and, if you dig deep enough, Steve’s experience includes Neiman Marcus.
We will likely discuss the pragmatic move from high-end retail to how the transformation of Stanley Black & Decker is going and what these two remarkable thinkers see in the near future of retail. And, because this is a designed conversation, we’ll be asking what these two hold up as great examples of design in our society.
