Capsule Wins HOW International Design Award for AlpineAire Packaging Redesign

AlpineAire Foods Packaging Redesign was chosen as a Merit winner in the most recent HOW International Design Awards.

AlpineAire Foods fuels adventures with all-natural freeze-dried and dehydrated foods for instant meals, side dishes, breakfasts, soups or deserts. The outdoor brand engaged with Capsule in late 2013 for a revolutionary change to their packaging design.

The Katadyn Group called upon Capsule for a holistic brand and package redesign for AlpineAire as they consolidated three brands toward a more manageable and engaging solution. The final result includes a 44% growth in sales in stores within the first month of launching the new packaging in August of 2014. Since then, AlpineAire has seen a 70% growth in sales.

This highly selective and well-regarded competition sponsored by HOW magazine recognizes outstanding creative work produced by individuals and creative agencies all around the world. HOW's team along with expert judges—Matteo Bologna, Stüssy Tschudin and Héctor Ayuso—evaluated 1,070 entries and selected winning projects that demonstrated an ideal mix of concept, strategy and execution. Entries were judged by type of work (i.e., Editorial, Identity, Packaging, Websites, etc.) and also by how effectively the design achieved the stated business goals.
